Flag Football
Divisions:
- Pee Wee (Grades K-2)
- Juniors (Grades 2-5th)
- 2nd graders will be placed in their appropriate division depending on evaluations or parent preference
Games:
- Games will be played on Sunday's for all divisions.
- Pee Wee games will be played at the Junior High if numbers allow
- Junior games will be played that the Junior High and at North Union High School for an away game. Marysville will be joining the Junior Division, but they will play at our Junior High.
Schedule:
- Evaluations will be around the end of July
- Practices will start Early August
- Games will begin Mid to late August
- 8 game season
- Dates are subject to change
Equipment:
Parents will be responsible for:
- a mouth piece (mouth piece must be used for all practices and games)
- rubber cleats (no metal cleats will be allowed)
PCABA will provide game shirt, shorts, and flags.
Tackle Football
Ages:
- Tackle football is available for those entering 3rd through 6th grade. (Flag football is available for kids entering 2nd grade or younger)
- Number of teams will be dependent upon total number signed up
- PCABA teams will compete in the Central Ohio Youth Football League (COYFL)
- Available divisions: Junior (entering 3rd or 4th grade), 5th Grade (entering 5th grade), and 6th Grade (entering 6th grade)
Games:
- All games will be played on Sundays unless scheduling dictates otherwise
- Home games will be played at Jonathan Alder High School
Schedule:
- Registration will be open mid-May to mid-June
- Pre-draft combine/team assignments to be completed by the middle of July
- Conditioning/practice will start late July/early August
- Games will begin late August
- 6- or 7- game regular season with at least 1 post-season game
- Dates are subject to change
Equipment:
Parents will be responsible for:
- mouthpiece (mouthpiece must be used for all practices and games)
- rubber cleats (no metal cleats allowed)
- black football pants with pads.
- practice jersey
PCABA will provide game jerseys, shoulder pads, and helmets.
Additional protective gear may be purchased at the discretion of the parent.
