Ages:

• Rec basketball is available for those in K through 6th grade
• Travel basketball is available for kids in 4th through 6th grade
• Number of teams will be dependent upon total number signed up

Desired Rec Divisions:

• Kindergarten
• 1st/2nd grade, will separate boys and girls if numbers allow
• 3rd/4th grade, Alder Red Division will be separated by boys and girls
• 5th/6th grade, Alder Black Division will be separated by boys and girls
• Travel teams will be tryout driven and done before rec evaluations so if a child does not make the travel team, they have an opportunity to play rec basketball
• Travel teams are divided by grade

Games:

• Rec games will be played on Fridays and Saturdays unless scheduling dictates otherwise.
• Games will be played at Canaan Middle School, Plain City Elementary and possibly West Jeff.
• Travel games will be tournament based on will be played around that tournaments schedule

Schedule:

• Rec evaluations will occur late September, early October
• Practices will start in November
• Games will begin the first week of December and last until the middle of February
• Tournament games will be held after the last regular season games. Tournaments are only held for Alder Red and Black divisions
• Dates are subject to change

Equipment:

• Parents will be responsible for:
• Non marking athletic shoes​

PCABA will provide game jerseys and basketballs for use during games and practice

Additional gear may be purchased at the discretion of the parent.
